Resolved Question: How do I get my daughter to dress cuter?
Posted on Jul 04, 2010 under Etnies |I have a 15 year old daughter, and me and her dont seem to match eye to eye when it comes to fashion. I’m not expecting her to dress like I do, or how everyone else at her school dresses, however I think she should dress like a girl.
She seems to dress in a “dark” look, I think that there are ways in which she could dress dark, however more feminine. She always wheres t-shirts that are sizes too big. Just like me she is “petite” About 5″1 and 110 pounds. She wears Adult L tshirts, over jeans, and wheres etnies or converse. The girliest thing she wears is a black lace skirt, with knee high socks. She also likes to wear combat boots. Mostly Tshirts thou.
If she wants to wear dark colors, than I’m not stopping her, but I would like it she would try some more feminine styled blouses.
Today I told her that I would buy her some clothes for a easter gift, she was glad to pick out a few things, on the internet. However this is what she chose.

She asked me if she could get a lip ring this morning. I said I would think about it. I let her dye her hair black last spring. She never fixes her hair, and I still have to tell her to brush it.
I do love my daughter very much, it’s just I would love to see my beautiful daughter in close that will let others see how pretty and beautiful she is.
Yes, thats what I’m saying. I think she can look goth, but appear a little more girly. Like she could wear lace blouses, or maybe a studded belt. However she dosent seem to budge, or she could fix her hair.
My daughter is very bright, but I dont think that people will see that with the clothes she’s wearing. I wouldnt tell her to wear a totally girly out fit with flowers on it, I think she should be herself (goth, I guess), just looking like a girl.
